Late game visual effects

I have a few ideas about the summoner's rift which I would like to share this is one of them,

How about the map itself changes through out the game , early game its all peaceful and the beauty of the forest is there without cracks and destruction in the west quadrant, while right before baron spawns cracks start appearing and plants start turning pale until the whole west quadrant is destroyed and by then baron appears then it slowly destroys the east quadrant with its radiations , the longer the game the more the destruction till its like the west quadrant , it should help show players how late in the game it is and it brings the map to life.

Thank you,

I don't think you know the whole purpose of the cracks and such. It is so at a glance, you will always know which portion of the jungle you are in. I am not saying it is a bad idea, it just conflicts with what Riot already has in mind.

Good idea, but I think they are not going to use the idea mainly because they already have a set ideal for the map as is and trying to add more in-depth visuals to the map n such would take away from the time they need to completely finish the map. Keep in mind, it's still not completely finished, as for why it's not live yet. Lots of bugs I'm sure and possibly some other things that they are working on.

Who knows though? I'd be willing to bet if they saw your idea and liked it enough, they might take it into consideration once they have the whole map finished for live. My best guess is the USR (Udated SR) will be live in a few months or by late this year though because of how much progress they seem to have made with it. Hell, I'd be surprised if it was ready next month lol but I'm pretty sure since they still don't have a set date for it that they won't be finished for awhile. All good though considering it just gives them more time to make it even more awesome ^ _ ^

There should be more than just cracks here or there though, and I think the destruction should show more of where most of the battles have taken place. That could even be made useful in strategy. Not to mention it's more graphically correct.

Dude There not going to completely redo everything Its a cool idea for the next time they update it But it would take over a year for them to do what you want soo... Its kind of out of the question no offense tho

This is definitely a good idea, but I agree with Cerbearus about the East being as bad as the West by a certain point. I feel like the lighting should get dimmer and/or different music by the time the game is at a late point. Overall, this is a great idea, but some of the details would definitely need discussion.

Love it, this would work very well to keep the environment engaging and interesting throughout the whole game. However this would not only be difficult to create but also difficult for computers to run, maybe in a few years though.

a lot of ppl say who cares about graphics, but graphics are what make a game so yeah.

I like the idea of an evolving map, but in the interest of readability I doubt Riot would consider cracking the east and west landscape in a manner other than the one they've already established. It would be cool to see some features off in the upper-left or bottom-right corners of the map change with time like in the Howling Abyss, though. Anybody know of purely aesthetic features that could show the development of the map through the course of a long game? Maybe plant life growing or stone crumbling. Just minor stuff to help enhance the map and add some cool points. Everybody loves cool points.

I was honestly thinking you were going somewhere else. Like tanky champs actually look bulky and as the game progresses some areas are tinted red with blood where there have been lots of deaths/fights/or maybe minion deaths. Is that a bit too graphic?

Its good idea :D but i think its complicate to make. I dont know.
