Nemesis mode question

So i know that if you leave a game it , riot wont give you the icon but i was wondering what if a friend leaves the game? does that count as your leave as well? i ask because i know in aram even if a friend leaves it wastes your rolls so i was just wondering if because a friend left in champ select in nemesis would that take away the chance of getting the icon at the end of the mode? thank you for anyone who has an answer :)
