Ranked should be for players who want to play competitively

It's happened many times before when people afk or start trolling or something similar as soon as their team starts loosing. And I understand that people may be frustrated, but a lot of times the people who walk in to ranked don't have a competitive mindset. They treat is as "just another game," don't respect pick order because "whatever" and generally just ruin the game experience for everyone else. Is there any way to get people to really understand that ranked games are to be taken seriously?

I never say yes to a surrender vote in ranked. Normally if it ends 3/2 someone ends up yelling at me when I say we can't surrender in ranked. It's normally they'd rather go to another game or they think it's a waste of time because they can't win.

Seriously what kind of sport do you play that as soon as you start to lose you give up because you can't win? If it's a competitive game you should always be giving your best and trying to win. I've actually gotten reported just for telling someone, "If you're going to play competitively you should always give 100% and you should always be trying to win. If you want to be competitive you can't give up". I didn't cuss them out I didn't harass them, all I said was you shouldn't give up competitive games and if you don't want to give 100% and want to surrender you probably shouldn't be playing a ranked game.

This right here. when i get seriously competitive people i love playing ranked, when i get people who are like "meh its just a game" i hate playing ranked. WE HAVE A NORMAL DRAFT IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SERIOUS BUT WANT TO BE ABLE TO BAN THINGS!
