Ok so today the details were released for the new urf or "NURF" mode coming in 2015. Now I saw some of the anger because this would not be urf. But in reality I think rito is just pranking us. This was, after all, originally meant to be a joke. I think normal urf will still be released with the normal urf mechanics.

I think it would be funny as hell for a one-day game mode (which is what its suppose to be). It doesn't look fun or serious in any way, but it would be funny, especially if you have a group of friends to play it with.

Saw both videos, one is super slow mode and the other is bring back urf as a 4 on 4, Ryze and kassadin banned in this mode, and shack and teem probably nerfed, a bit.
