Hide and Seek Rules -- 2015
Hide and Seek is a game mode that has been around for quite a few years now. What you do is have a team of hiders (five) and a team of seekers (two). It is played on the Dominion map because as long as no one caps a turret, there is no minion pressure anywhere to worry about. The goal of the hiders is to hide from the seekers and survive (to five lives) until the forty minute mark. Whereas the goal of the seekers is to kill all the hiders five times by the forty minute mark.
There are two main variants of hide and seek that exist, mainly the differences being all random hide and seek and draft mode hide and seek.
The only real variant between the two is the existence of permabans, and naturally since one version is all random, that restriction is uplifted.
Item Bans: Guardian Angel, Sunfire Cape, Thornmail
Hider Rules:
- Can't group -- no larger than three to a group.
- No more than two per bush.
- No capping points.
- Only CC skills, Healing/Shielding skills, Movement Skills, and Damageless vision skills are allowed.
- Hiders have five lives each, the game lasts forty minutes long. If hiders still have lives at that point, hiders win, otherwise seekers do.
- Losing team surrenders.
- If Hider is running from both seekers, then they're allowed to receive help from no more than two others.
- Each team is allowed one active slow, and one passive slow. The first of which is allowed at the ten minute mark. You can get a second passive slow at the twenty-five minute mark. Twin Shadows counts as an active slow.
- Oracles isn't allowed until the fifteen minute mark. Only one Oracles per team.
- Once a hider is out, they have to stay in base or just afk. Going in the outer ring or the center gives a little vision to the hiders and interferes with twin shadows.
- Hiders aren't allowed to stop a seeker recall.
- Hiders aren't allowed to recall or go back to base. Only able to buy after death.
- When hiders die, they get a 30s grace period upon respawn, not upon leaving the base. If they choose to wait for gold to get an item, they forego their grace period. Hiders also need to call out their grace so that seekers are aware of it.
- Hiders hide, they do not seek out enemy seekers to endlessly chain cc them.
- Getting a slow item does not allow skills without natural cc. (example: A frozen mallet or frostborn gauntlet doesn't allow Ezreal Q)
- Only one defense item allowed. QSS isn't considered a defensive item for this purpose.
- Conditional CC isn't allowed, such as in the case of Brand or Kennen. Conditional in the form of Irelia which is an either/or cc is fine.
- Helping an ally during grace or taking the storm shield ends your grace prematurely.
Seeker Rules:
- Can't leave until the two minute mark.
- Can't cap points.
- No fake recalls.
- Recommended to recall when below 300 hp, but not required. If you happen to die to CC while below that margin, and having been given a chance to recall, the hider suffers no life or time penalty.
- Each team is allowed one active slow, and one passive slow. The first of which is allowed at the ten minute mark. You can get a second passive slow at the twenty-five minute mark.
- Oracle's isn't allowed until the fifteen minute mark. Only one Oracles per team.
Penalties for breaking the rules: +3 minutes or -1 life if hider breaks a rule, -3 minutes if Seeker breaks a rule. Obviously, accidents are accidents. But if 'accidents' happen repeatedly by the same person, they're not really accidents.
