Ranked ratings

How is it this ranking system has been around for so long, but yet still so flawed. It is only based on wins. Meaning, people can troll, and cause you to lose the game, which I have experienced through bronze. I am sure it happens in the higher ranks as well. however, if I can get an a or s+ on my champion rating, and have good stats across the board, team doing amazing, and there being 1 troll, or 1 AFK the entire game, I lose LP. It is completely broken. I believe you should receive/lose LP based on play. Wins should grant more, but it should also factor in skill. Losing because of a 4v5 and getting knocked points is absurd. Honestly, if you have an AFK or someone leave the game, and they are detected missing for 3 or more minutes, or just sitting in base, then you shouldn't lose the full LP for it.I have worked hard, and played my best. I play support, and it is the WORST role to try and level without being a duo. But, I have since learned other lanes, since I may need to play those roles. However, I have had teamates that are just obv trolling, AFK, or just in full terrible at their roles. I know, its a team game, its supposed to be based off playing as a team, and making plays, but, if you and others on your team doing amazing, and 1 or 2 terrible/AFK/trolls on your team, you lose, and you are punished for someone elses behavior. Yea, you can report them, but it does NOTHING for you or your teammates. I have lost numerous games, some my fault for having a bad game and or being unskilled, but when I lose because of an AFK, it is just annoying that I get punished for it. a 4v5 is NOT easy, and at Bronze, I dont see many times it happening to get a Win out of.

Because champion ratings (ratings based on KDA, CS, warding, etc.) do not accurately measure your ability to win games. Some people are good at winning games without any of these. Rating changes aren't accurate game-by-game, nobody's claiming that, but over a large number of games the only constant is YOU. Once you play enough games (50+) the amount of trolls on the enemy team equals the number of trolls on your team. In fact, if you never troll, you're more likely to get a troll on the enemy team than on your team (4 potential trolls on your team, 5 potential trolls on the enemy team).

that is inaccurate in my opinion. as far as the trolling that is. I have never trolled, and never will. However, my main complaint is the AFK costing me LP. Granted you can win a 4v5 but it makes it hard when you have someone missing, that cannot keep the mirror champ in check. Example: if mid is AFK, their mid can free farm, and then roam freely, thus boosting other lanes. Granted, that means play safe, but when a mid champ, like Annie for example, gets free farm, and can roam and easily gank with jung, diving you under tower, it becomes very hard to come back, or even have a chance. Especially in low elo.

I understand how stats could inaccurately portray a rank, however, if they used a better algorithm instead of just w/l ratio to determine the ranks, it would be much better. something that actually bases on YOUR skill, not the skill of those on your team. granted it is all about teamwork, but if your team is not doing what they should, and just endless feeding, why should that affect my rank?
