No one really plays dominion at all. So why not make a new game-mode for the already fun map. Free For All (FFA)!! If riot just does and overhaul of crystal scar and make it look like new SR it could be great. Imagine 1v1v1v1v1. each player will spawn level 3 at the current altars. I know i put this together poorly but I just wanted a quick way to get this through to riot. Please make this happen. :D
While I like the theoretical idea of a free-for-all fight, the one issue I have is this: A free-for-all would end up being a series of duels between players, and not all champions are equally suited to a duel situation. I'm not saying these champions are underpowered; they make up for their lack of dueling capability by being better at teamfighting. This balance works out well in a team-based game, but would mean those champions are at a severe disadvantage in a duel-based game. They would have to rely on luring multiple enemies into the same area, which might work but would probably wouldn't. This means you'd end up with probably fewer than a dozen champions being ever chosen for this mode.
