Tower Shots on new SR

everything looks great on the new SR, but the tower's projectiles seem pretty...weak, even though it actually hurts to get hit by one

currently, the tower shots (in the PBE) look really...lackluster, as if the turret isnt really shooting a giant ball of plasma like how it was previously but rather a smaller orb and it seems fairly deceptive considering that such a small orb could chunk so much damage. While it may not mean much to more experienced players, newer players will have a hard time understanding that towers actually freaking hurt and it will become even harder to discern who a tower is targeting during a teamfight since the orb that gets shot out is relatively small.

On a side not I think it would be a good idea for every turret shot that hits you visually gets bigger as the damage does increase with every shot.

I wasn't able to make a post, so since it's relevant to tower shots, I'll make it here.

The tower shot SOUNDS are kinda..bleh. They sound like a whip. All I hear is a constant whip sound and it's kinda annoying. Know what I mean?

Agree completely, but more importantly i found the sound of the turret shots very annoying and too loud compared to everything else

I agree. The hit SFX gets annoying really quickly. It is also way too 'urgent' when you are not the target. It sounds like a mix between a whip and a steam explosion, and being near the tower when it attacks minions the constant KSHH! KSHH! KSHH! is terribly distracting and just sounds wrong. It is also really really loud.

I actually think the current, old SFX is a pretty good indicator on how the sound should be. It is low, and with a gentle rumble conveying a force of impact without being too obtrusive.

I hope this is just a placeholder sound effect for now, it seems oddly out of place with all the other high fidelity sounds that recently have been introduced to the rift.

Totally agree, those projectiles hurt, but the animation doesnt really display this fact... Bigger projectiles and better animation aswell as some sort of new impact sound and particles or even a chargup animation for eatch shot could get rid of that lackluster dmg flair

this really needs to be changed

i am from portugal and my internet connection is not the best.. so in pbe i have a average ping of 160 and as the minioms progetils are smaler than before it is really dificult to farm properly... i woul sugest to aument the size of the progetils from towers and from minions..

I'm on the fence with this one. As an older player, I still find the old shooting particles too intrusive and block where I can see the turret aggro when last hitting creeps under tower. Though, this doesn't mean there could be some sort of middle ground for a change because they do seem a bit lackluster for newbies to understand. Maybe give them a slightly bigger blast radius the stronger the hits become gradually?

Though I do find on the PBE (don't have an account, just listening to the sounds from demos/other sources), that turret shot sounds are very annoying and out of place. They sound like they're slapping something. Their old turret sound effects on live are quieter when hitting creeps, which should be a standard in the upgrade.

I also find the visual effect of the towers being destroyed awkward. I feel like its death animation jumps too fast from exploding to falling and has no real transition. I understand if the visual explosion has to be minimal, but the death animation most certainly could be better transitioned.
