I Just played a game of Dominion with 8 Bots! Thoughts?

Before I Start my Rant I have a simple question. Does anyone play Dominion at all anymore?

I Wanted to mix it up a little and play a dominion game. I waited 5 minutes with no luck, then restarted the que and got in a game 3 minutes later.

When the game started none of the players on my team left the gate for the first 30 seconds. Only one member of the opposing team came out of the store. The one other player spoke "What's going on?" and i replied "IDK?"

The Game itself was really dumb, playing against non competitive bots that mostly just stood by the towers and occasionally would roam to the next tower, never really posing a threat. None of them ever spoke. I'm guessing the other 8 players were just bot controlled ip fishing accounts or something. Maybe Becuase Dominion has been abandoned by the general LOL community this is the new norm. I'm not really sure if Riot is aware or does anything about this.

If this is the case, Riot should consider getting rid of it altogether. I Like Dominion but it seems unplayable currently. Obviously bringing back URF mode would more than fill the void.

So if you played dominion at all recently and had similar problems (or if you hate dominion and never play it anyway) post your thoughts.

Some months ago we'd say "after entry MMR you won't find bots anymore" but this changed in NA so it's hard to say a safe MMR range for you to play without them. Some high MMR Dom players could help you but many of them left after last attempt to get some respect from Riot. I think the DominateDominion chat in LoL is still active. You can try to play with them, you shouldn't find bots then. In EUW is still fine tho. Didn't find a single bot yet Riot says they are working on it and banning bots. But considering the amount I doubt this is true. They probably use it to increase their stats about more players, most played game, etc...

The bots are annoying and have been a problem for a while (over a year). I think that as you move up in MMR the bots tend to go away, but I'm not 100% sure at what point that is. It's definitely frustrating to try to play PvP only to have a worse AI than the intermediate bots on your team and/or the other team.

If you're looking for other people to play with, join the in-game chat Dominatedominion.

Looks like new botting software is out. Just played ARAM, and only 1 other human. Check out the identical item and order builds. Bet if Riot checked IPs, they would all be from the same. screenie here

I play tons of dominion, but luckily I'm at the point where you never see bots anymore.

I love Dominion, it's a refreshing break from the standard SR experience. Also, you can get away with vastly different builds, even ones that aren't considered "viable." Full Crit Evelynn, Maximum Movespeed Sona (gotta cap all them points!), etc. and so forth. Also, since you get levels and items faster, it's great for testing build theories that you can then take to SR.

I play but these are the common issues I face.

A) Leaver/afk B) Bots C) Scripters D) Getting people who barely play dominion E) Getting People who don't take advantage of power plays or create power plays. F) Dat long queue time, people leaving or not joining. (pre, during lobby etc.)

Dominion is the fastest way to gain IP. you get nearly 75% of the Ip of a SR game but it is played in nearly half the time. I play Dominion often on double IP weekends or when I just want to quickly grind some IP or maybe just when I get bored of the standard "tug of war" SR gameplay.

Bots are a real problem but the community really bans together in their hatred of them. They are spotted EASILY and are often unanimously reported.

WHAT I WANT TO KNOW IS WHAT IS RIOT DOING WITH ALL THE REPORTS ON BOT PLAYERS?

WHAT STATISTICS CAN THEY SHOW US?

I left. I am in full boycott mode until they do something to improve, spotlight, and promote Dominion.

If they ever do happen to make the necessary changes, I'll certainly be playing it again, and I think there are plenty of others who left who would also flock to a ranked queue if it opened. Far more than currently play in this state of decay.

That's the problem. Riot claims the numbers are too low, but many of those numbers only left BECAUSE of the lack of care given by Riot.

I want a VU, an apology from Morello, and a cookie.

I played a ARAM match ones where everyone was a bot besides me. It was very eerie because they were buying identical items. I didn't catch on until I noticed the Ziggs was doing no damage. He/they had phantom dancer, bork, and trinity force. Then they'd clump up by tower areas even though there were no towers to defend.

hm? bots are in pvp now? That's... pretty bad. I didn't know that was a thing.

Well at least it's somewhat self-correcting. Every match against bots is a free MMR boost, making you less likely to encounter them.

Also, on this note ...

... I will gladly queue with anyone seeking to avoid bots. My MMR is at least good enough that I haven't seen any bots.

And I guess I should join DominateDominion chat again

I'm having the same issue. It's really disappointing that this is happening.I love playing Dominion, but it's not enjoyable when you know you're going to be facing easy-to-beat bots 99% of the time.

I used it to take advantage of boosts. Since almost every game is vs bots, you can easily win in 7 minutes. rinse and repeat for a great IP farm. Other than that, it's pointless.
