Draft Racing Custom Game Mode Rules

If this is your first time here, and you are in a lobby, please read the Draft Racing Rules section and Optional Rules, the rest is simply strategy/guidelines.

Look, if you're in champion select already and you need to pick a champ, and all you know is your role, here are champs that're good in their corresponding roles listed.

Runner: Kha'Zix, Ezreal, Tryndamere, Corki, Shen, Leblanc, Zac, Ekko, Aurelion Sol, Shaco, etc. - anyone with a movement spell that can get you over a wall. Defender: Taliyah, Ashe, Maokai, Nautilus, Zyra, Thresh, Blitzcrank, Alistar, Shaco, etc. - anyone with level 1 burst damage + cc or a displacement spell. Make sure that it won't be too hard to apply their cc/abilities, for example Ekko's W is too hard to hit if they're waiting for it. Roamer: Rengar, Lee Sin, Riven, Dr. Mundo, Shyvana, Warwick, Volibear, Shaco, Ekko, Evelynn, Nocturne - Champions with high kill potential in the lower levels. Level 1 is very important, so make sure that they're not obsolete without all their abilities unlocked.

This is a player-created game mode. The rules are not set in stone by a system, so it is your job to make sure you follow them. Read the RULES category and the Optional Rules category first.

RULES

  1. Both teams have 5 players and play on Summoner's Rift.
  2. Champion Selection is Draft Mode.
  3. You score a point if you die on the enemy fountain, the laser must have hit you. It doesn't matter if the game says you died to a champion. After death abilities do not count, your champion must be alive and in full form to score a point. No Zac Zac blobs or Sion Sion passives, although if you are revived by a passive and make it to the fountain yourself (ex: Aatrox Aatrox ), it counts.
  4. You cannot escape into turret protection. This does not apply if you are escaping into an enemy tower, as the tower will attack you.
  5. The champions Pantheon Pantheon , Nocturne Nocturne , Shen Shen , Tahm Kench TahmKench , Ryze Ryze , and Twisted Fate TwistedFate cannot use their ultimates to get into the enemy base. Rek'Sai RekSai is an exception due to her needing to have a tunnel inside the enemy base for it to work.
  6. You cannot get experience from anything other than champion kills (exception: BardBard), not from lane minions or jungle camps. That means you must avoid minions fighting and stay out of lanes.
  7. Sword of The Occult item 3141 , Mejai's Soulstealer item 3041 , Zz'rot Portal item 3512 , Banner of Command item 3060 , and Guardian Angel item 3026 are banned items.
  8. The Summoner Spells Teleport summoner 12 , Cleanse summoner 1 , and Revive (RIP) are not allowed.
  9. The team who scores 10 points first wins the game.
  10. The losing team must surrender.
  11. If you are caught leeching ( taking exp from lanes or monsters ) your team receives a -1 to their point count, or someone on the enemy team can leech the equivalent amount of exp you took, or more. Host decides
  12. If minions are attacking the Inhibitor Turret ( On the stairs ), you can kill them. Only at that spot (** stay on the stairs**). This is so that the Inhibitor Turrets aren't destroyed.
  13. Stay out of lanes if minions are fighting there. Stay away from dying minions at all costs.


OPTIONAL RULES ARE SEPARATE FROM NORMAL STARTING RULES, THESE RULES ARE ONLY OPTIONAL. THE HOST WILL DECIDE IF SOME ARE ON, ALL ARE ON, NONE ARE ON, ETC.

Optional Rules

( Host decides before game starts, and these rules are only optionals. They apply over the initial rules, as a kind of add-on. I cannot stress this enough. Not all of these rules are on. They are different.)

  1. Escaping to lane is not allowed, even if no minions are present. The area behind the 2nd tower (between the 2nd tower and the inhib tower) is free space as long as you aren't in turret range.
  2. Runners must run at least every 5 minutes. If a team does not oblige to this rule, they can have a -1 to their point count, or a point added to the enemy team's.
  3. Quicksilver Sash item 3140 , Mercurial Scimitar item 3139 , and Mikael's Crucible item 3222 are banned.
  4. There must be 2 defenders, 1 roamer, and 2 runners. Rules are set in stone if enforced by this. (Defenders can't run)
  5. Defenders cannot cross the river.
  6. Acquiring exp and gold from monster kills is allowed, with the exception of Dragon and Baron.
  7. Ohmwrecker item 3056 is banned.
  8. Bard Bard is banned.
  9. Zac Zac blobs and Sion Sion passives can score points.
  10. You can kill Rift Scuttlers.
  11. Banshee's Veil item 3102 is banned.
  12. You can kill the Rift Herald.

Strategy

The best strategy for Draft Racing is having 2 defenders, 1 roamer, and 2 runners. All or most champions start Spellthief's Edge item 3303 because of its gold gain.

Runners: Generally are tanky, mobile champions that can get over the enemy's base wall without burning Flash. Good runners are as follows: Lee Sin, Fizz, Tryndamere, Sejuani, Zac, Rammus, Aatrox, Shaco, Lissandra, Tristana, Nidalee, Shen, Vladimir, Jax, Ezreal, Corki, Graves, Vi, Riven, and many more. Runners are the scorers; they jump the wall, and avoid turrets to get into the enemy fountain. Good runners will run at the same time on opposite sides of the base to split up the defenders.

Runners typically rush boots (Mercury's Treads, Ninja Tabi, or Swiftness) and Warmog's Armor, then continue to build tanky ( Don't forget Distortion ). Vladimir is a special runner because he can't get over the base wall without burning Flash. Vladimir typically tanks the first turret, then pools to avoid cc, or simply pools past the first turret. Good Runner Summoner Spells are Flash summoner 4 , Ghost summoner 6 , Heal summoner 7 , Barrier summoner 21 , and Exhaust summoner 3 .

Most runners will opt for Flash and Ghost, though.

Defenders: Generally are champions of all types, that can put out enough damage or cc to stop the enemy Runners from getting into the fountain. Good Defenders are as follows: Alistar, Blitzcrank, Vayne, Poppy, Ashe, Shaco, Lissandra, Singed, Thresh, Morgana, Sion, Volibear, Vel'Koz, Annie, Maokai, and many more.

Defenders start Spellthief's edge and a Vision Ward, then rush Sightstone. Defenders after that build boots, and then damage and/or cc items. Defenders stop the enemy runners from getting into the fountain, so position yourself in any place that you think will take full advantage of your abilities. IIf someone is seen by wards, get in a good position to kill that enemy, and stop them from getting into the fountain. Good Defender Summoner Spells are Exhaust summoner 3 , Clairvoyance {{summoner:2}} , Flash summoner 4 , Ghost summoner 6 , and Ignite summoner 14 .

Roamers: Generally are heavy kill potential champs that do well in 1v1 duel situations and skirmishes. Roamers aid the defenders if needed, escort the runners, and sometimes go with the runners to score points . Roamers get fed off of picks and then roam around, looking around for more kills. They stop the runners from even getting to the base. Roamers also eliminate enemy wards. Good Roamers are as follows: Kha'Zix, Lee Sin, Udyr, Fiora, Jayce, Wukong, Jax, Aatrox, Garen, Fiddlesticks, Darius, Jarvan IV, Vi, Nocturne, Nidalee, Volibear, Riven, Rumble, Rengar, Quinn, Caitlyn, Pantheon, Olaf, Kalista, and many more. Anyone can work as a roamer if you play them well. Catch my Soraka spitting bananas of doom.

Roamers start spellthiefs or boots, and go on to build damage, sightstone, and sometimes tankiness. Roamers should always be with the runners, as you don't want to be caught out alone without others. Roamers will need to ward a lot, to make easier picks and alert the team. Use bushes to your advantage and make picks on unsuspecting targets. Good roamer Summoner Spells are Ignite summoner 14 , Flash summoner 4 , and Exhaust summoner 3 .

Some good bans in Draft Racing are as follows: Alistar Alistar , Shaco Shaco , Zac Zac , Blitzcrank Blitzcrank , Fizz Fizz , and Bard Bard.

A small starting strategy is to tell your runners not to go out of the base at the start of the game, until the first kill. This is to stop the enemy team from getting First Blood gold. When your team has 7+ points, try to rush the base with all 5 if defenders are capable of scoring.

This game dosen't work so well as I played... People trolls and some keep playing it.. Its bored!! hope riot will make the original map for these kind of games. please please please as a beta it should be fine.

What happens if a runner kills somebody? Do they score a point, or lose a point, or just nothing happens until he gets to the fountain?
