The old "very low" just took away a lot of details while not changing the resolution so the game still felt crisp.
Riot was now too dumb or lazy for this one so the "very low" just lowers the overall resolution. And it looks absolutely horrible.

Rew7114 votesNot saying its better but I have less trouble on the new map. I like that its brighter. I like the thought of a red side rather than purple. It needs less from toasters. Gives it more for animation like small animals running around, activations of turrets and other objects, monster spawn animations, and possibly more. I also lag less and my computer doesn't over heat after one match. Those are the things that make me happy about this change. The artwork is overlooked by me.

Featherztorm4 votesBeing someone who came from playing on very low, to playing the old map on the max, they took an extreme amount away from the overall looks of the game, and even at very low, my old laptop wasn't able to achieve 40 CONSTANT fps as it'd dip down to 20 during big fights, and 25-30 roaming the jungle. The newer map is supposed to allow people with lower end computers to still maintain solid FPS while not taking an entire amount away visually. The new map is GORGEOUS on max detail, even more so than the old one. I actually dread playing ranked now because I want to continue playing team builder just for the map.

I actually think the new maps looks horrendous. Terrible color scheme, flat textures. Makes me think I am playing Dota 2, which I stayed away from because I could not stand the look/art of that game.

chipi991 votesHe is complaining how it looks horrible on low settings, hence he is asking for improvement. If they change the quality on low settings it would only affect people who play on low settings. BTW Walmart computers don't run the game that fast, they are very low quality.

DaCush3 votesGuess people like extremely high contrasted blocky images over smooth, less cluttered, lower contrast images for some reason. And lets be honest, if your computer can't handle a game that probably takes a smaller amount of memory than almost, if not any game out there on even the older map than you are in serious need of an upgrade. Like any cheap part out there is probably an upgrade. Go out and buy a 4gb stick of ram for $10-20 and get a cheap $50 gpu and you're set on high graphics for league.

The element in the old map looked more sharp and colourful compared to the new, which look like a plain picture...

I'm sorry but the new map runs BETTER on toasters(like my PC) so you DON'T need new unnecessary hardware like on the old map which ran on 10-20 FPS for me (new map runs on constant 40 FPS). If you want detail over gameplay just turn your settings to the max.

HOWEVER maybe it should be an entirely new setting for the shittiest drivers(like mine) and have very low have more details.

But as you've pointed out, the map looks terrible on these settings compared to those of the old SR. I'd almost rather play on the old Rift now, as it looks far crisper on my preferred settings. Grrrr.
