[IDEA] Make Inhibitors more important!

Inhibitors are important in defend or win a match. So why don't we make it more important in the new SR? (Usually in a match, you just need to destroy an inhibitor then 2 turrets protect the nexus then the nexus itself to win. That's too easy). Each team get 3 inhibitors so I suggest:

  • If 1 inhibitor is down then the nexus will take 20% (or 40%) damage from champions, minion, etc...
  • If 2 are down then the nexus will take 50% (or 70%) damage from champions, minion, etc...
  • If all 3 are down then the nexus will take full damage from champions, minion, etc...
  • This will make winning a little harder, but it will create a chance for the other team to defend (strike back, too). Well, maybe, just maybe if this idea is accepted by Riot, can you create some visual effect for that? I just haven't thought about the visual yet, will you give me some idea?

Or what if the Inhibs and Nexus could fight back?! Inhibitors could be an epic monster somewhere between the strength of Dragon and Baron. Since they come back after a few minutes, they'd probably have to be Phoenixes for that to make sense, right? Then let's make the Nexus some big, badass monster just waiting for people to make it to him so he could crush their hopes of defeating him! You know, the map kind of looks like a maze or even...a labyrinth! And you know the badass you'd find in a labyrinth, right? A minotaur! Let's do it!

And that's how Smite was born.

Good idea, i also think inhibitors should respawn with 5%/10% less health each time; to promote actually defending these inhibitors once they've been destroyed.

It's a very interesting idea, but there's plenty of complaining already about how long this game can sometimes take. If there were some other number tuning to speed up the rest of the game, I would be all aboard this idea. This idea alone kind of destroys the point of having an early game champion, since games will take significantly longer to finish.

1 Inhibitor = 50%

2 Inhibitor = 75%

3 Intibitor = 100%

20% are not enough for one inhibitor. But i think this idea would really add something to the gameplay.

I like your idea, and the idea of the inhibitors fighting back. So let's do that! It'll make league so much more fun!

I think the Nexus would have to get nerfed in HP for this to work. As your idea would provide interesting gameplay, but it'd also force the game to drag out. Which a lot of players don't want. I already think games go too long (30 minutes+).

The last thing I need is for games to go double or even longer than that!

Sounds too close to smite and its minotaur. Also, when all 3 aredown now you get double the super minions and that makes them important also. But the visual effect of nexus without inhibitors sounds cool
