New Player Question..

Hey guys, not sure if this is the "forums" part of LoL, but I just started a day or two ago, and I slowly leveled up to 6. Now I was used to playing Varus and I had gotten to understand what to do playing against the AI's, until all of a sudden I hit level 6 and I can no longer choose Varus? Is it possible to find him somewhere and use him or MUST I ALWAYS choose a new champion from the now unlocked 'free week rotation' ? Are you basically being forced to learn a new champion every single week..? Thanks.

Hey man! So the champions do rotate every week on Tuesdays. the idea of the rotation is to allow new or experienced summoners to try out champions. If you want to play more of Varus then you just need top buy him in the shop (top right of client under your name, it looks like a treasure chest :L) then go to the champ tab on the left side and either scroll through and look for him or search for him in the box. You can buy champions for IP (money earned by playing games, you earn around 100 per game) or RP (credit that you buy with real money). Once you buy him he's yours for the rest of your life :D

Basically lol until you get enough ip/rp to buy him. I always found it fun though as I liked playing new champions.

Ok, thank you..So you can keep permanent champions as long as youve bought them...Now I just read something about free champions from Liking Riots facebook/twitter or something, is this still possible?

You can also purchase champions in the shop, in addition to the free week champs. You keep bought champs forever

New players get a static rooster that doesn't change for the first 5 levels (and don't have access to the free week rotation during that point), but after level 6 you're given access to the free week rotation instead.

This can mean you end up learning a new champion (or 2 or 10) each week, but remember that you can use your ip (or RP if you don't mind paying real money) to permanently unlock champions for use. So if you've found you're particularly fond of varus for example, you could unlock him in the store forever so he'd always be available for use

You get 20-50 IP from AI games, with enough IP you can buy Varus. Though I reccomend Jinx Vayne and Quinn since you play Varus.
