There is no reason a surrender option should be in ranked. I've been down 40 kills or down a player and still won the game before. Kids giving up and surrendering at 20 because they fed their lanes in their godamn provisional matches. Absolutely pathetic. If you surrender in ranked enjoy your life in silver. Why would Riot even put this option in ranked games? This game is so tilted towards whiney 10 year olds that it's just getting absolutely ridiculous.
Ranked isn't a job, you don't get paid for playing, and so the only consequence for quitting a game early is you lose. League is a game designed to be fun and should be treated as such. Normal queue is where you have fun simply playing the game, and ranked queue is where you have fun by competing.
If you do not have fun when playing this game you are doing something horribly wrong, and should really rethink your time spent playing something designed for entertainment purposes.
There is a "block surrender" for a reason aslong 2 guys agree the game has to continue, match will go on, kills and turrets dont matter in any match, just how smart you play, i agree some games deserver to be played but the moral of a team, there is no way to recover that unless you start making plays and getting pentas suddenly.
But you have your right to keep playing even if your nexus is about to fall in 1 minion attack, the other 4 have the right to surrender even if they are ahead 10 kills and 6 turrets, its the so called balance.
if you dislike surrender, play dota2, there is no surrender option, so if you are losing, you are either forced to see how enemy team spawn camps you and makes the match 1h because they are jackasses, or leave the match, believe me, surrender is more healthy than no surrender
Yes make it so you really want to kill yourself when you enter a Ranked match.
I think the surrender vote should be removed from all modes and maps. I hate when people constantly start votes again and again after it fails the first and second time. But ranked should definitely not have the option. Or if you do surrender in ranked it should be the same punishment as dodging. Since your actions have caused the other players that didn't want to surrender to not be able to finish the game.
I think this would be silly. You'd just get one team who would be so ahead that they'd just camp your base and spawn kill you without closing the game out.
