Since the visual update is mostly visual could it not be optional? (at least in custom games)

Don't get me wrong, i love the new looks, but i think it might be refreshing to play on the old Summoner's Rift once in a while even after the update has officialy come out. Could there not be an option (at least for custom games) to play on the old map? I understand that there would be some issues but i think it would be incredibly sad to see the visuals we all played on and grew to love over the last 5 years just go forever.

Technically these aren't the original visuals either. There was an update a while back that changed them (although not as majorly as these will).

Not having visual unity for everyone could have bad effects.

I would like to state that these visual changes are mainly about clarity and understanding of the player. The update is meant only to help you, not to make everything look aesthetically pleasing. Also, to GodKilleR9999, I know multiple games that implement visual diversity without any issues. I don't know if this'll work in LoL, though, because I think few, if any, of those games have the duo-client system that League does.
