Contrary to belief, what I have found, is that the ranking system does not function properly, seeing as with a team of diamonds, on my friends account, we did all promos, won all games, and were placed bronze 1, regardless of how bad the mmr is, since we are diamond, and not into plat, our mmr is decently high, and yet we got a low ranking, yet on my gold account promos landed us in gold, I wish there was explained ways on how the rewarding system works item 3056

Every ranked team I've been on has placed at least gold while winning 4 or 5 of the matches, and we never have only Diamonds. Usually 2 Diamonds max.

I'm gonna call bullshit on this one, because even the first ranked team I was on placed gold. We had no previous ranked 5s MMR to inflate our base MMR yet still got Gold.

Bronze 1 after winning all 5 games, with only Diamonds on team? Yeah ok. If your teammates have never played ranked 5v5 but you're all Plat/Diamond you should place Gold after winning all 5 games. You can place all the way up to D1 if you've got members who have had diamond/masters/challenger teams

Ah, my dearest apologies, I just discussed with my friends if we were all indeed on diamond accounts, and one of them was in bronze, and I guess just one bronze can drag down the rank that far.

I ran two ranked provisionals with my buddy on two separate accounts. One being this one. I was the only Gold and they were all bronze 1-2. Won 3 out of 5 and place Silver 5. Second was on my Silver account, same group, and we won 5 on that one and placed Silver 2. So, I'm calling bullshit as well.

Wow, I am so sorry for upsetting you guys, it just may seem I am a very very unlucky sausage upon this weenie roast of life, I really wish I was lying, but I myself played ranked 3s with some friends, all gold, and we went 3 wins and 2 losses, and got placed back into bronze 1 again, I am not trying to say that this is 100% set in stone what others will get, but I seem to only get bronze regardless of how many times I play 3v3's, I really dont want to argue anymore, so I will just accept defeat, I dont want to get off on a bad note, lets just keep the love >.< item 3056

Not B.S. I'm gold. Played on a team with 3 golds and 2 plats. Won 5/5 and got bronze 1. The system is broken. Our collective MMR was 1800~. Still got bronze.

^ This, this is why I don't do ranked on this account anymore. Every ranked game I have ever played I have found myself being the best player, yet I can't do anything, type anything or try to help my team out because I becoming "toxic" at that point. So I completely gave up on SR during season 3 because of this. If they ever change the system and base it off of person stats rather than team stats (seeing how it's SOLO Q, not a GROUP Q) I will probably never touch ranked again on this account or my other smurfs.
