Rather take the chance
This is sad: Team builder takes so long, I find my self taking the chance of just getting the call in blind pick.

Patience is a virtue, but I see your point. I love Teambuilder, and it takes a long time, but there are positives to it (such as no instalocking). A way I think they could improve the wait time would be to use a different priority algorithm; one that takes into account the frequency of the role you play and how often you leave a group and how long you waited before jumping into another one.
Also, playing smooth jazz as you wait could fix everything.
