So I joined a dominion draft queue with my friend, and now under threat of death, I must stay and wait for a game. I beg of you, please join dominion draft queue!

its not going to happen.
Draft mode hasn't been populated since you could dodge with no penalty, which Riot eventually fixed, but the lack of people remains. Good luck finding a queue.
It's 8 days later. You still waiting?
