Viewing replays Error

I Was wondering if anyone knows how to watch replays? I keep getting this error "spectator server data request failed. the game will now exit". I'd like to go through some of my mates replays to learn from them but the message keeps popping up and goes to a black screen. Any fixes to this at all?
