Graphics performance on new SR

I have a pretty nice machine that can play most things on their highest setting. However, there have been quite a few patches that really slow down the performance, enough that everything freezes in team fights. I am concerned that the focus on making it prettier and more "cohesive" will override the necessary focus on performance. This has always been a major weak point for LoL- I could play Dota2 or HoN on my crappy laptop, but LoL was too much.

Personally, I would like to see performance a top priority. Graphics updates are nice, but meaningless if you can't see anything anyway.

Is there some assurance that this patch will at least maintain the current performance, if not make it better?

It's really a skill to overlook almost all of the blogposts and videos and even the livestream. Anyway, they aim to keep the performance of the current SR. A few people who were playing on the new SR on the PBE were even reporting an increase of the performence, so we don't have to worry about that. :)

If your machine is really taking a performance hit, try lowering your settings. Some games are are harder on a PC that others. Also max settings are completely retaliative to each game. Saying you run max on one game means nothing to another.

You do not post your specs, so no one can say how good your PC is. Also if you your really have a good setup and your PC is struggling this could be hardware failure.

Also League is rendering everything on the map all at the same time. So even if you are not seeing everything your PC is. This is why you see a FPS drop as more minions hit the map. As spells get introduced even more stuff has to be added.
