I was watching a couple cinematics the other day and noticed that in "A Twist of Fate" Baron looks a lot like the baron that will be included in the VU, rather than the baron that was in the time of production of that cinematic, and currently is, live. I was wondering if the VU was already being worked on at that time and this baron was a teaser. Or perhaps give your own explanations. It would be cool if a Red could chime in!
I do remember them saying something about doing just a Baron update a little bit before the "A Twist of Fate" Cinematic, and then afterwards they were talking about that update being the exact look for the new baron. I think this alludes to the fact that, back when the Cinematic was released, the full Summoner's Rift VU wasn't in the works.
The Baron We saw in "A Twist of Fate" Is infact the new baron, however, this idea of a new baron was braught up even before the consideration of a SR VU, so yes, it's the same baron, but no, summoners rift VU hasn't been in the works at that time.
