What exactly is summoners rift?
Like the title says what is it does it has some kind of lore ?

Summoner's Rift in the old lore was the main field of justice the Institute held their orchestrated battles. It is placed somewhere between the Freljord, Ironspike mountains, and the Serpentine river. Its remodel depicted the ancient conflict of the Protectorates and Magelords, powerful factions that once tore the continent that have changed into the two powerful nations we know today.
The field itself has high concentrations of magic, changing the landscape and attracting powerful creatures. It also attracted both mortal enemies, seeking to use this energy for their purposes.
The Baron Nashor in the old map was a half-baked construct of a Summoner going on testimonies and pieces of info. This one is the real deal.
I don't know. Summoners don't exist any more.
