I feel in the past two weeks, Riot has made it abundantly clear that this game mode means extremely little to them. As a player who plays 97% of his lol games on HA (mostly due to ragers and trolls being less abundant, shorter games, and a desire to learn all the champs), I feel completely alienated by the addition of Mark, and the champion points being an absent feature in ARAM & Dominion. It feels like drastic, wobbly changes are being made to very well loved aspects of your game... and for what? Aesthetics? Competing with HOTS? Forcing ARAM diehards into playing more ranked? I'm not certain, but the bottom line is I enjoyed a couple ARAM games every day. And now I don't.

Riot doesn't give a single shit about Aram and Dominion. They only care about SR and its meta. I usually play Aram since I don't like trolls, ragers, and long games and I must say that Mark/Dash spell ruined the map. I know they wanted to balance HA for melee champs but they didn't because the fact is everyone is abusing the spell. Any champ with AOE ult ( Amumu Blitzcrank Fiddlesticks Fiora Galio Kennen Katarina Malphite Talon ) literally shits on the enemy team, not to mention if your entire team is full of squishy champs then the next 20 min. is going to be a pain in the ass. Today someone got pentakill with Galio. What the guy did is marked someone from the enemy team while they were low on health dashed in and KABOOM. Some champs with this spell are broken af...

Yep, I hate this fucking spell. It makes ARAM feel completely and utterly different, like literally a different game mode altogether. It's a bullshit change as far as I'm concerned.

I completely agree. The addition of the snowball spell has ruined ARAM for me...

ARAM was a community created game mode, designed to make the game more fun and break away from the meta. Howling Abyss was Riot showing that they cared about it enough to make it have its own queue and enforce the rules, such as no backing and no shopping and no revive, etc.

Now with mark its not ARAM anymore. It's Legend of the Poro King minus the King plus its random not blind pick. They basically changed the mode that was once beloved and belonged to the community. They should have just brought back LotPK for two weeks if that many people really enjoying that game mode just like how they did with U.R.F this year, however I doubt people enjoyed it more than U.R.F, so much so that they ported it over and made it permanent.

Riot won't remove Mark/Dash for god knows what reason, and that just goes to show how much they care about ARAM. They should have just made two separate games modes at least. Oh well RIP ARAM Never Forget 2009-2015.

I have to agree. I actually stopped playing ARAM today because of the mark. It took most of the mechanics out of that map. Maybe that means that the people that are generally chill (which seem to play more ARAM) will be seen on summoner rift making it a more enjoyable place. But for now... I am done with ARAM. It was already exhausting enough dodging from high poke teams, now you have to dodge from 5 snowballs every 20 seconds on top of anything else! haha

I've had a couple of games that, within the normal version of ARAM without mark, would have resulted in wins. Now it's kinda stupid.

Regardless, I thought I read somewhere that champion mastery was supposed to start on Summoners Rift normal and ranked queues, but would possibly be initialized in ARAM, Dominion, co-ops, etc. in the future. No idea if that's really true though.

Really? I thought that was pretty clear 6 months in when they still hadn't done anything about smurfs ruining every single game.

dunno it feels nice to have the mark, although the damage could probably be reduced, or the cd, it's nice to be able have nice ults with galio without having to first walk through half the enemy team or burn my flash
