Huge Problem with Team Builder Summoner Icon Reward System

As it stands, you unlock the Teambuilder summoner icons by just playing 5 games. You have no incentive to win and as a result my teambuilder matches have had a huge influx of "idc, just need games for the icon" and people losing as fast as possible and surrendering to get said icons. It should take 5 wins to get the icon. I honestly thought needing wins was what it was going to be, how could Riot not see this coming? If you make something a grind, people are going to find the fastest way to complete said grind. 5 games isn't much, but at least make the player need to win them. Losing 5 games as a support should not give you a support icon.

You realize how long this could take... right? If you win 1 game for every game you lose (which can totally happen).. .that's 50 potential games(minimum of 1000 minutes (aka 16.6 HOURS) in game PLUS teambuilder wait time). On top of that, it's a little side thing - it wasn't meant to be any more than a fun side thing. You're taking it too seriously.

The point isn't for it to be a quick grind. Not in the least, players should earn them as they play teambuilder. You act like 50 games is a big deal just because people want their summoner icons right now like spoiled children. Win the games and earn them and reduce toxic games for the next few months in the process. It should reward longevity in playing teambuilder, not spark an interest in the mode till everyone grinds the icons then leave it for dead.

Sure, it is meant to be a fun thing, but people are playing roles they don't know or even care about, and carelessly losing. Just for the sake of getting that useless icon.

I am a big fan of team builder, as when i do not want to play draft pick and just play adc or whatever, i dont want to deal with pricks in blind pick going "im duo with so and so, so you can't have that role" or "Sorry i said it first". Team builder allows you to play with people who want to play their role. Anyway, with that said, these icons are kind of ruining the atmosphere again. Its making it so people are playing for the useless icon instead of playing to win. Just like you said. I agree with you, 100%
