Hey Riot what happened to the watchers returning?

Once when I played ARAM on PBE in the same patch as the Kindred "they are coming" teaser and there were new quotes from the shopkeeper about the watchers returning. So I assumed that there would be a brand new event and game mode for Freljord. Am I correct or am I just making things up?

It's not a new quote. They've talked about the Watchers return since Howling Abyss was released.
