New map for normals

So i think we need a new map, to clarify not a map update but a complete new map for normals. 5 v 5 still but not summoners rift or the howling abyss. i want to hear the community's thoughts on this.

What would the map bring differently from SR? What would it look like, and how would it be implemented?

Well the game has a rich lore. why not have a few maps set in those areas. change up the laning so instead of top mid and bot you have something else. Now i know they just did an update on summoners rift but it would be nice to have more maps for normals. Just even turn SR 90 degrees so the nexus is in a different location

That could be very effective to creating a map like a Shadow Isles, Shurima, Ionia, or something that could correlate to the lore of League and Mount Targon from the most recent champ reveal.

well there is Dominion (which is in the Crystal Scar, idk if that is still real though as Skarner seems to now be from Shurima) Twisted Treeline, which I am fairly sure is Shadow Isles ARAM/Howling Abyss which is Freijlord (I am sure I misspelled that)

There was the event when Azir was released with a redone Dominion essentially that was supposed to be Shuriman

It would be cool for a Noxian or even a Mt.Targon map that is just 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2 with a single Lane. I have seen some videos of an all stars thing where they had something like this, looked fun as hell and those are the 2 most likely to have something like it. (If this does get implemented permanently it should be 100% ranked games imo. What would be the point of it being normals if it is just you or you and a premade partner, can practice in customs rather than having a normal que)

Not really sure what they could do for Demacia or Ionia though at all =\

I do believe that variety is necessary in most games. A change of scenery where most of the games take place like the time of year or holidays like having it look like a festival for the Chinese new year, something like that would be really unique and fresh for most people that play League of Legends. It could have the same design as skin sets like Blood Moon, Shurima, or something of that nature.

It's called Magma Chamber

And it was scrapped

Because Riot didn't want "Rift 2.0"

Nor did they want more competition for players in another mode

Honnestly something they could do is just release a "new" map which is basically a reskin of the current map. Modify the environnement and details. It would bring something without "dividing the community" as some reds said. The gameplay would be exactly the same, with the same collision map, but would be pleasing to the eye to change the environnement.

(a bit like the different version of SR for Halloween and the old Winter snowdown.)
