Better Game Matching = Less Trolling

I'm someone who likes both the competitive/strategic aspect of League of Legends and the fun aspect of League. But over time Normal 5v5s have gotten just as serious as Ranked. And Ranked is more "troll" as well. People play League for different reasons and bad games happen when people with different goals get put on the same team.

Yes, Team Builder is a step towards the right direction. This helps teams to accept/reject off-meta picks and define their team-comp. I think games can be much less toxic through further steps to define game matching.

I suggest giving summoners Match Preference option boxes Normal: 1) Just for Fun option Ranked: 1) No Surrender option

Just for Fun will match trolls with other trolls, because sometimes trolling is just fun. No Surrender will match summoners who want to tough out hard games. Then they avoid the guy who is trolling because he just wanted to surrender at 20 and move on.

I think these options will easily make League 20% cooler. Any thoughts?

I think its a good idea but you'd have those "special" individuals who would troll anyway in the No Surrender option. Figure out how to solve that problem and you'll be a genius.

The only thing I can think of is that the game pairs you up with other trolls in a separate queue if you get reported for trolling enough (kind of like low priority queues for flamers/afkers.) Then you gotta deal with the problem of false reporting though.
