9-1 placement matches, moved down to bronze?

I'm not sure what really happened....I know my mmr was a little below silver, OP.gg said my mmr was "below average". Still, I worked really hard in my placement matches and got 9-1., but ended up going from silver 5 to bronze 1? I've heard people have gone 9-1 and moved silver 5 to high silver/gold? Anyone have the same thing happen?

Edit: just checked op.gg for my mmr, this is what it says "The Average MMR for this league is 1,347. 1,171 MMR Welcome to ELO hell."

Like Riot said in the Season 5 post, placement matches are no longer going to make or break your rank and put you way higher than you belong and you will also go down some (because the seasonal ladders are designed to reset your rank and make you work for it again. That is how it ALWAYS works no matter where you go)

my score was 5-5 and the system put me in bronze 4, so idk wth is happend i think 5-5 can be silver 2 or 1 dunno

Maybe its related with the fact you stoped playing ranked in the preseason

Look like your mmr was decaying already
