What's up with Jungle Timers?

Jungle timers were introduced to SR, but not on TT. Why? I thought most players found them helpful. Is there a bug/issue that precludes them from TT? Thanks

This is just another example of how Riot provides zero support for any map that isn't Summoner's Rift.

There is a lot less to have to keep track of to need the jungle timers on TT than on SR because of the smaller jungle. SR has two buffs per side, the Dragon, and Baron Nashor to keep track of. The timers are necessary because there are 6 monsters you need to keep track on Summoner's Rift. Compare that to Twisted Treeline: there are no buff monsters, and there is only one boss monster to keep track of, so jungle timers in their SR form would only cover Vilemaw, rather than 4 buffs and two boss monsters on Summoner's Rift.

However, TT does also have altars. Could the timers be adapted to the altars? Probably, but it may not be as important as having timers on the Red and Blue buff. Buffs on SR are important to get when they respawn because the other team can take them, while getting altars when they unlock again is not as important because only one team needs to unlock it after the altars unlock at the start of the match, and the team that doesn't have the altar would need to find an opportunity to take the altar after it unlocks, rather than just looking to take the altar when it unlocks like you would with SR buff camps.

Does that mean that Twisted Treeline should not have its own jungle timers? Of course not. They provide a lot of value to players on a map that is essentially designed to be a smaller and shorter version of the gameplay that Summoner's Rift has to offer. However, jungle timers is not something that may be worth prioritizing over other gameplay elements like balance and the like, and may not be worth putting in as such.

Twisted Treeline is not really popular thus, plenty of patches that occur like Yasuo's -50 Base HP Nerf has not been applied to Twisted Treeline, in a sense champions are quite powerful in this game mode.

As for the timers, you wouldn't really need them, they respawn pretty quickly.
