I'd think that would be the perfect way to add all those custom modes back. The recent event was extremely fun, and I'd just like to see them come back being played in Custom's from time to time, perhaps also including the Ascension event.

Also, Ascension would make Crystal Scar a thing again, so that would be nice.
Maintenance requires work. For instance, Riot needs to double-check new champs or coding changes to make sure nothing's broken every time they release One for All. Increasing the number of available game modes multiplies the possible number of bugs that could crop up with each change, delaying development.
It's not like I'm asking them to include the "quite" outdated Ascension, all while the recent event was basically spotless of bugs and would make a great reason to even play Custom's at all.
