That 50g you recieve for destroying the nexus..Can we do something better?

I have been wondering for a year why the Summoner who last hits the Nexus receives 50g. Games over, gold isn't important. So with the change coming to Summoner's Rift why don't we have a slight reward for the last hit of the Nexus.

This could be anything from a small IP gain or maybe your champion shouts his catch phrase (or laughs) for all to hear it and starts to dance. An extra 5 seconds of this could go a long way to change the attitude of the Summoner's in the post game lobby. Maybe less Summoner's would be pissed off after watching Lux laugh (or scream?) and dance hysterically.

Ah and while we talk about the post game lobby I think it would be good to have a DISCUSSION and not attack one another. Clearly most people can't be civil on their own. But what if in the lobby there was a bit of direction. Say, a question such as "What was your favorite item to build this match and why?". Then have a chat roulette system say, a 10 second timer to type out a response (might not be forgiving enough I know). Each person would get a chance and the question could make them focus on their strategy and not a flame war. We'd see the honest feelings of another person and not blinded by our own harsh judgements.

Just a thought...

A universal taunt would be awesome, something easy and satisfying, and all that would need to be done is to insert it into each characters triggered speech. Something along the lines of

Noxus - "is this all you bring before me, such a weak willed enemy"

Demacia - "the tides of battle have turned in our favor"

Piltover - "Looks like you couldn't fix this problem"

Shadow isles - "we came from the shadows, now we go back to them"

The void - "We will bring all into the void"

Freljord - "Now you will freeze for an eternity"

Zaun - you try to best the best, this is where it gets you"

something along those lines, something unique to where the champion resides or comes from. Just a thought, but it's something :D

IP or actual monetary gain? Nope. That just means games are stalled and people are begged not to end it while, instead of finishing a game, they opt to drag it out and hopefully be the one to get the prize.

The 50g for destroying a nexus is an old joke. It's between Jax and Gragas I believe(because they are drinking buddies) where whoever gets the last hit on the Nexus is buying the round of drinks--thus, they get the extra gold. It's not meant to be anything special. Plus... think of it this way.... your teammate gets the nexus down to one hit while you're just sitting there trying to time it right so you can get the reward. Or you get the nexus down to low health and then everyone backs off waiting for it to fall low enough for them to get the extra bonus. It promotes a negative style of play if you get a tangible reward for it.

Or it could just say "PersonA has destroyed the Nexus! You Win!" that way you get that recognition everyone craves. Rewarding someone for last hitting the nexus is not a very good idea, because that last hit could have been their only hit.

Also your idea for the chat is a nice one honestly, but i think what we have is fine, plus sometimes i type to friends im playing with or talk to the other team about something, it would be kinda hard to do that if i was answering a Q&A. People are going to be people and the league community in particular can be very toxic for no reason, they always will be just ignore it or stay out of it.

The extra IP has been discussed before and the main argument against it that I've seen is people may try to fight over the last hit. And while, yes, it's such a small thing it wouldn't make sense to argue, but I've seen people argue for less than 10 or so IP.

But the idea of a unique VO line for a nexus being destroyed is a great idea imho! While it would be quite a while before every champion could get one (chasing down VA's, waiting for VU's and all) it's a small little reward that from what I know should be on the easier side of doing.

I'd say if you destroy the nexus you should get like 10 RP or an IP bonus.

I think the catch phrase idea is great!

It'd be hilarious to have a Draven issue a hardy Draaaaaaaven laugh and his joke at the end of the game.
