Catalyst on Dominion and ARAM

Catalyst the Protector restore HP and mana when a champion who has one levels up. In SR, you only receive exp. when you are alive, so you usually can make use of its passive.

On Dominion and ARAM, there is a passive exp. gain. On these maps there is a potential for your Catalyst to proc at really inopportune times.

This is especially frustrating on ARAM, due to the comparatively high death rate on that map. I find that every time I build a Catalyst, the passive will proc at least once while I am dead (I've had it happen much more than once in a game, though). It often happens while I was close to death, waiting for that proc, and a Nid spear or a Ziggs bomb comes out of nowhere.

Can there be a refund or maybe a bonus when this happens? So maybe for each time the passive procs while I am dead, I receive 50 gold to compensate my loss? Or instead, maybe I receive a shield for the amount of the heal, as well as a charge of Nunu's Visionary passive?

A change along the lines of those would be really nice. I am just really tired of see in my gold disappear due to that passive exp gain.
