Some Thoughts on New SR Map

After seeing what Riot plans to do with the most classic of the Fields of Justice, I'm honestly a bigger than big fan of what's going to happen to Summoner's Rift. My friends and myself all agree that we cannot wait to see the new graphics, monsters, clarity as well as game play that will come in the future when all of the updating and modification of Summoner's Rift is complete.

Having said that, seeing as people have told me that I can say something about Summoner's Rift undergoing modernization, I want to very much put in some stuff that might make the map and jungle experience a bit more memorable. The one thing I've never understood is that both sides of Summoner's Rift, although designed for two separate teams, are basically the same in almost every way. Like, looking at blue side and red side, I know that there are going to be more differences to the team sides in the upcoming updates. Still, I believe a proud, good way of distinguishing yourself as a blue from red team member would be for Riot to add on some environmental decoration in the middle of the mid lane where the two teams will meet. True, they already have the two sigils of blue/red team meeting on the ground there. Still, what if - to the sides by the rivers and out of the way but visible - blue/red team had some decayed, broken, aged looking turrets that act like silent guardians watching each other from across the river? Really, although broken down, I would see two opposing turrets facing each other a bit cooler than a sigil on the ground.

And what about the jungle monsters? I mean, yeah, cool, Riot has updated as well as even added new beasts to Summoner's Rift. Still, why do they have to have monsters exactly mirrored from one side to the other? If things are being changed, why does the jungle experience on red side have to feel the exact same as blue and not make you feel like you all the more belong to a specific team in the beginning? For instance, where there will be wolves on red side, couldn't there instead be some sort of griffins on blue? And where there will be wraiths on blue side, couldn't there be like, oh, um, a pack of velociraptors on red? Also, why do there have to be golems guarding blue bonuses all of the time? How about one beasty is a golem, the other is kind of like a huge, migrating, armored tortoise with its fellows? And for red, where one monster is like a wooden beast with fire on its back, couldn't the other hostile be an updated lizard elder or bandit or something along those lines to remind us a bit of the old days/the old map?

Again, I very much am looking forward to what is going to be done with Summoner's Rift in the future. And when it's released, I'll be all over it. I'll be very, very happy. Still, if Riot is looking to make changes as well as have the two sides of Summoner's Rift - blue and red teams - stand out then I believe I've said what they can see about adding on next; focus on the meeting point in mid lane as well as the different lands of the jungles.
