A very wonderful possible change to ARAM

I usually don't take time to post on forums because it rarely ever ends up with good responses or the developers listening to good ideas, however i felt compelled to post my idea for ARAM. I often get champions that are not viable in ARAM at all, like trundle, and also champions I don't really enjoy playing, like kayle and jax. I am probably only going to ARAM on LOL, and i would not have bought some of these champions i had if i had know ARAM was going to come out. It would be nice if there was another tab on the summoner profile in which you made a champion pool for ARAM, which would required it to have a minimum of something like 20 champions selected, and ARAM rolled your champion for a match from that pool plus the pool of free champions for each week. Id really like to play some champions i enjoy in ARAM more often, however it is difficult to get them when i have so many champions on my summoner profile. It would also make playing on a team more viable.

I think I'd prefer if it rolled among ALL champions, even ones you don't own, so it was truly random.

I agree it should be between the complete champion pool.

20 champs? Jayce, nid, sona, zilean, nami, alistar, lux, morgana, varus, yasuo and the list goes on. The thing with ARAM, is that it makes you try new champs out. After playing a champ you don't like long enough you may begin to like them, and find strategies. If we had this feature then we would see a nidalee lux and heimer every game. Good idea on paper, but it has to many flaws.

HELL NO.

1.) Every single champion is viable in ARAM if you know how to itemize properly and effectively work with your teammates. That being said, it depends on the enemy team as well. Obviously if your team was Trundle, Garen, Yi, Alistar, and like Wukong they would be highly ineffective against a team like Lux, Sona, Sivir, (other poke champ).

2.) If you could choose select champions, ARAM would become broken and unfun. Say hello to Nidalee, Jayce, Sona, Lux, Sivir, Garen etc all game long. Every game. Not to mention if you choose champions for it select among then the idea of "random" is lost. They should instead allow the entire champion pool to be selected from. They wouldn't lose profit because you could only play them in ARAM. In fact, they stand to gain profit by presenting another way to allow you try out new champions. If you like em, you buy em. If they are really concerned about losing profit they can modify the values slightly so you roll champions you don't own less. They already do for free to play champions vs owned etc.

3.) ARAM is a nonserious game and Riot will NEVER attempt to balance it or make the game more fair. Some games are clearly in one teams favor. Nothing you can do but try your best to win or surrender when the time comes. Who knows, you might make a good play when the respawn timers are 50 seconds long and score a game winning ace.

The only reason i said hell no to this post is because even with 20 champions selected, there are 20 very good, very strong champions on ARAM. which would mean that everyone could have the same champs and same annoying viability as everyone else.

No. Do you know, why all those Riot's temporary modes (urf, hexakill, ascenstion, etc.) start to suck after few days? Because people figure out, which champions are the most OP and play them in every single game. And if you dare to pick something else, you will be destroyed by OPs.
What you're proposing, would basically change ARAM into ABAM. Where everyone just picks OP champion. And you can compare ARAM to ABAM popularity to realize, which mode is better.

ARAM is already going through many problems, because of smurfs, dodges, rerolls. We need to increase the randomness, not decrease it.

I'd like to say all champions are viable on Aram. But not all team comps are.

One game I was playing Trundle. and we had 3 other melees and a derp suicidal LB. And her friend, Shavana the I can solo a penta kill dragon.

Besides the Derps, 3 of us got the Support shield item and clung to the towers for dear life. Because Ziggs Lux and Zeil make you do that.

We held onto late game. Became Bruisers, I used my ult to make myself more tanky while making their tank Jax easy to rip apart and chased their ADC until they died. We walked over them and won eventually.

The problem is, all champs can do well on their own. Not all champs get the chance to preform well because they get pinned down, and left int he dirt by a bunch of ranged guys paired up with a healer like Sona-Taric-Soraka-Alistar

I support the entire champion pool, and having a counter for each champion, keeping track of how often you've played that champion in ARAM. If you've played a champion 20 times in ARAM and just can't stand them, I think then it'd be fair to block them from being selected. Of course, then you'd also have to have a max blacklist (can't block everyone), or have a "I'm tired of this champion" option, to prevent you from getting them for the next X games.

Another potential option focused on melee champs (since those seem to be the ones people (understandably) dislike in ARAM): Make item 2051 build into something better. It's a decent item in the beginning of the game that becomes entirely about the active later on, and isn't worth the slot after the first few minutes.

Sure, but you should only be able to blacklist champs if you have a certain amount already. Like 50. And free week champs should be valid options for blacklisting.

Totally random from the entire pool makes sense too, but I am under the impression that Riot does not want to do that so you are still required to buy champs if you want to play them. I am trying to keep that in mind with my suggestion, a lot of people have already posted about having the pool be the entire champion selection, I highly doubt that will ever happen.

Ill just keep dodging games I guess. At least let me at least delete the shitty champs.
