BMB Floating orb things

Hey guys.. Does anyone know what the floating blue and red orb things do in Black Market Brawlers? I've looked for info on them and haven't found anything, not even on the Info page. I tried following it in game play, even tried attacking them :/ lol Nothing happens. Some insight would be cool, thanks :)
