Team Builder Player ELO Match UP

Dear League Community,

So I'm just your average silver 5 player who is almost silver 4. I usually go into the Team Builder game mode in order to practice a new champion that I want to learn. Seems like that not the problem right, well its not. The problem occurs when you get "paired" with someone who is 2 or maybe three tiers above you. I was playing as Vayne being Silver V against a Plat V Ezreal. Now I understand that the Team Builder game mode is meant for everyone and I am not saying to limit who can play in the game mode, but there should be some way for Riot to make it so that I am not playing against someone who is going to just wreck my face. I don't know if I was the only one experiencing this but I wanted to bring it up. Riot seems to have a system in place for "Blind Pick" and "Ranked", so why can't they have the same system for team builder. Feel free to give me back some feedback if you want. I truly feel that if riot wants people to enjoy their game this issue needs to be brought up.

It has an elo system. Your ranked elo is entirely separate.

I mean, they could've been with a lower ranked friend. This hasn't really happened to me. It might be MMR based. Like I have a gold 3 account but a plat 4 MMR, so I play with mostly gold 1/plat 5 players even though I'm not actually plat 5 or gold 1 ;p Really not sure how it works, that just might be it ^. They were most likely paired with someone from the team.
