[Mode Concept] Manic-Shooter Mode : The return of Doom Lux
Hello Summonners,
I'm sure you all remember the Doom Bots and their crazy abilities. Some of them had abilities that fragmented in a particular pattern, like Ziggs' Mega Inferno Bomb. Here's a mode I came with, inspired by both Doom Lux Bot and the "manic-shooters", a type of shoot'em up where you focus more on dodging the homongous number of bullets that the enemy shoots at you than killing this enemy.
Here's the deal : on Summonner's Rift, your team faces a team of 5 Manic-shooters Lux Bots. A Manic-shooter Lux Bot is a modified Doom Lux :
- Her Light Binding is the main modification : it has now global range, no cost, a shorter cooldown, and spreads into 8 other Light Bindings (like Doom Lux Bot's). Besides, the direction of the 8 fragments is determined by the original's angle (for Doom Lux, it spreaded Up Down Right Left and in diagonals whatever the angle was for the first Light Binding). Of course, each fragment has global range and spreads into 8 more fragments.
- They max out Light Binding first. If they passes through the jungle, they will attack the monsters with Light Bindings only, and then flee. This is to trigger even more Light Bindings, with different angles.
- Her Prismatic Barrier and Lucent Singularity remains the same.
- Her Final Spark becomes a Doom Final Spark that is cast in more directions.
Levels of difficulty can be added. The more difficult the game is, the shorter the Q's cooldown, the more directions there will be for their Final Sparks. Another thing can be added, a Punchbag Minion in the Bots' base that will be attacked by the Lux's Light Bindings, thus triggering the first Light Bindings. This Minion can have a number of HP adjusted so that the Lux doesn't aggro it all the time, but only when they come back to base.
The aim of the game is, as always, to destroy the enemy (here the Manic-shooter Lux Bots') Nexus. The players can be awarded more gold and/or experience as it will be harder to get minions in lane. They could also be awarded a tenacity buff that can be added over tenacity given by items, to help them not getting rooted 100% of the time.
The player should, like in a manic-shooter, focus on dodging the roots rather than killing the Luxs, as getting hit by one would :
- Open yourself to more Light Bindings, rooting you more
- Open yourself to Lux's other abilities
- Create even more Light Bindings that could harm you allies. Make sure to attack t Lux when her Light Binding is on cooldown and be careful not to get hit by one more Light Binding during your aggression.
Well, here was my idea for the Manic-Shooter Mode. If you have suggestions, don't hesitate to tell them. And be a Grammar Nazii with me since I'm
and English is not my mother language (and if there aren't any errors, well here's the proof that not all French people are bad in English ;p)
Have a nice day !
