Story Mode?

Hi Riot and fellow Summoners. My name is Angelica and I would like to share an idea my friends and I thought up of while waiting in queue for a League of Legends game. We were talking about the Lore and an idea sprung to my mind. What if League of Legends had more maps? You are probably thinking, “What would these maps be for?” I’m saying, “A story mode maybe?” This story mode would follow the Lore. For example, Jinx Jinx is a maniac/criminal and Vi Vi and Caitlyn Caitlyn are officers out to get her. This story mode would include Jinx running through Piltover and Vi and Caitlyn out to get her just like in the Lore. Of Course these would be multiplayer! There could be task for each player (Vi, Jinx, Caitlyn) that they have to do to finish the story. For Example, Jinx would have “set up explosive traps near the police base at night to toy with Vi and Caitlyn”, Vi would have a task like “Scan for Jinx’s traps”, and Caitlyn would have “organize manhunt to search for Jinx”. Pretty much this would be a playable Lore. Don’t have enough friends to play with you? It’s fine. You can join groups, kind of like Team Builder, of players who are trying to find other players who want to be the champion(s) of the story you are playing. It can have short cut scenes or cinematics to add on to the League of Legends Experience. At the end of each completion there could be rewards (IP, skins, icons, RP, ward skins, champions etc.). OF COURSE you can use skins in these story modes. Most of the skins in League of Legends are based off of the Lore anyways. One of my main reasons for this idea is because many of my friends who are gamers like me don’t play league of legends because it is (boring or too hard). Riot could have many more players with this mode. This mode should be only available for level 30 players because it is too easy to be a way to gain XP and level up. Plus it’s something else to look up to for when you turn level 30 because not everyone likes Ranked. A small side idea I had was these story modes could cost RP so riot still makes money off of them. There can be free ones and some may even be unlockable after you complete certain story modes. Before I go I would like to say thank you to the people at Riot who have helped and are still helping to keep League of Legends as an amazing game that I love. I feel like it should be a single-player offline game. I know that feeling when you want some league but your in some place with bad to no wifi. Riot should just make a single player game that follows the lore with out internet connection. For all you know they could partner with steam to be able to sell the game.

Nice as it sounds, I highly doubt Rito would make features like this a priority.

I wouldn't have a problem with something like this being added, but I promise you any really in depth content like this would require you to either purchase a pass for each release, or possibly even a monthly subscription. (Of course the main game would remain free)

But seeing as games like League of Legends which are free to play, other than a couple cosmetic things that you can only purchase with money, any large release like this would have to mean a large monetary return, because this would be quite an expensive project in terms of paying artists/musicians/development teams.

I would be more locked into league the rift is fun and all but it gets so repetitive. i would enjoy more flavor to game and appreciate the lore and champions for what they are. they will ask for money because it cost money to develop and design so somethings just have to give. i would love to be varus kill noxus soldiers as they take over his lands and have him defaulted on arclight varus and and at the end of the story he goes into the pit and becomes the varus that he is on the rift. that would be cool

I'd LOVE to be able to play the tragic "what if" story of Anivia becoming Blackfrost Anivia. This would be perfect for a single-player environment.

I think it's a good idea, but to make this would take so much time. They already have to fix certain champions, make new skins, fix the new SR glitches. Plus they bring out a champion almost every month. If they do make this a thing would they only do it to a few champions. Because I'm pretty sure Riot would not want to do this for all the champions. Good idea though. Would be very interested if they made it
