Ranked Experience

I was hovering the bottom of Gold V for awhile, not doing particularly well, not doing horrible but got frustrated and stopped. A few days ago I was demoted to Silver I, which is understandable, so I decided to try to get back into Gold.

I'm now facing demotion again because I've lost 4 in a row due to afk, feeding, raging and just refusing to cooperate. So now I've fallen much further than necessary and not one of the games is a reflection of my skill, but that's how this ranked bs works. Continually being told you suck based on uncontrollable outside forces.

Ranked is not fun at all because of this. I won't be playing ranked again, as it sucks the enjoyment out of everyone participating. Riot needs to start focusing on the enjoyment and TEAM aspect of this game, rather than their e-sports and celebrity promotion.

I also know this will fall upon def ears as nothing I'm talking about improving will generate profit so... fuck everything and good luck to all of you who still grit their teeth through ranked.

The thing is, most people get the same amount of leavers and shit. You have to just push through it, I know it sucks. But everyone has to deal with horrible teams. Everyone gets them, it's what you do with the games where you get decent teams that matters. Or even a bad team that's still carry-able. You dropped a lot, but that doesn't mean you can't rise right back up. If you can't, then you're probably where you should be, or you're not going at it hard enough.

Sorry to say but this isn't a ranked system, it's a number, a number so inaccurate, so meaningless, that I feel ranked is basically a waste of time, a waste of patience. Once you hit level 30, you open a world in which you will spend hours frustrated for no meaning. It's not even luck anymore I feel like the system is made to tear your soul out, and make you punch your computer a couple times. Whether riot only cares about the money, or if they really actually think that an MMR system developed for 1 vs 1 professional chess matches in which the PLAYER, IN THIS CASE YOU, AND ONLY ON YOUR SKILL LEVEL DO YOU DECIDE WHETHER YOU WIN OR LOSE. When you have 4 other players that also decide the fate of the game, you can't just go 30/1 and solo 6 barons, and 10 dragons, get all 3 inhibs, every single tower in the map, have 4/5 of the other players afk, and say your going to win no matter what. You got 4 teammates and 5 enemies, but at any team you could have 0 teammates and 9 enemies. 4 people running around feeding a kill every half second flaming at you, cursing, afking after feeding 50 kills, isn't much of a teammate if you get what i'm saying.

Riot needs to ask themselves this, if 1 diamond player went up against 5 gold players, who would win? What if 1 silver player had to defeat 5 other silver players by himself? If that one silver player loses, who is anyone to blame the silver player for losing, and in that turn losing LP for a game clearly out of his control.

What I suggest is every season, play your placement matches, and whatever you get placed in that's where you deserve to be. After that don't play ranked until next season. If you want to play competitive, in a balanced, fair scenario, where skill actually matters, play team ranked queue's.

"Ranked is all about riot putting you in a false division, then seeing how time you waste trying to prove the truth."

Really though, if you lose a game it's best to take a break to prevent tilt.

I've taken so many breaks its ridiculous. I've lost 11 ranked games in a row, half or more due to teams being crazily unbalanced. It doesn't matter if I end up winning my lane or not, I've been camped and our jungler does nothing to help it, or the other lanes feed like crazy.

This matchmaking system needs serious work with balancing teams, since I've dropped from Gold III to Gold IV, and soon to Gold V
