Rito, i started playing League at the beginning of season 2, and i vividly remember playing on the snow down map over the Christmas break in high school. Im in college now but for 2 years straight there has been no special map for the winter season. I know that Riot has been busy with the updates to the map in general, but if a snowy map is possible it would be the greatest gift riot could give.

Riot said a couple of years back that they are unable to reuse the old maps because of system issues that they have done over time. I'm sorry to say it but there is no chance they will bring it back despite how much you (or I) even want it.

They disabled that map specifically because it caused graphics issues.

Just go on Howling Abyss, it's snowy enough. They can't give SR a skin right now since it's so outdated and they are busy with the update.
