Poppy lore (how old is Poppy?)

I'm a bit confused. Is poppy hundreds of years old? Because in her lore it says she helped found Demacia, and Demacia has been through almost 4 Jarvans apparently. Am I missing something or do yordles really just live REALLY long lives?

Long lives seem to be the consensus. But they are not immortal, like the jellyfish.
