Between the New lore and Old lore, which lore do you believe shows the true Ahri?

In New Ahri lore, she is vastayan and already has the magic orb in begin. She drains peoples life because she is drunk and having fun with memories from people she drains. After she killed her previous lover, she avoided having a relationship with humans and prefer to be related with Vastayan.

But in the Old Ahri lore, she was a fox transformed to be half human by a magician's orb (maybe turned vastayan). Because she doesn't understand mankind, she drains people's lives, not knowing it's wrong. After she feels more human, she feels guilt from the people's lives she drained. Then she traveled to Runeterra for finding a way to grow up as a human, because she wants to understand being human more.

New. New Ahri's got more depth, history and character.

New.

New Ahri is still savage. She wanted to rip the heart of the woman who tried to cut and steal her tails. She is merciless against her enemies but also has undeniable love and kindness for people she cares. Damn, she protected a village that she doesn't even know from noxian soldiers, because they were innocent.

She made some mistakes and regrets so much, but It doesn't mean she wouldn't beat your ass out if you ever tried to harm herself.

Ahri has mercy and kindness, until you harm the innocent or herself. Otherwise she wouldn't care less about you and your life that is pathetic and worthless in her eyes.

Both lores are still similar in terms of her morality except now the institute of war was discarded for the new lore. Other then the additional backstory to her character, it's still the same.
