Do some League of Legends Champion's skins represent a time line? Or Progression of story?

My first time making a thread, plz be gentle with me. But honest feed back is welcomed :D

After reading Burning Tides (btw, really good story; go read it if you haven't) and seeing the new released skins it made me wonder, do champion skins show a champions progression in their story? The reason I bring this up is mostly b/c the "Captain Fortune" skin. (WARNING Burning Tides Spoilers!) In the new story Burning Tides, MissFortune attacks Gangplank 's ship in hopes of completing her vendetta to kill the Salty Scourge and take her revenge. After Act 3's release of the skin "Captain Fortune" was for sale in the shop. This skin represents MissFortune after the event of attacking Gangplank 's ship.(END OF SPOILERS) The other 3 I wanted to bring up are Garen ,Quinn, and Aatrox. In "Rogue Admiral" Garen looks, well... old. Riot also put in the name Rogue. Like, Rogue as in he left Demacia and is hiding in Bilgewater? Did he run away from the Demacia Military? What bothered me though is that he was also with Quinn ,another champion from Demacia who was involved with the military, mainly scouting (Journey Into The Freljord). Were they betrayed like Riven? And then hid themselves in Bilgewater living the rest of their lives as a Slaughter Fleet? Remember in Aatrox 's lore it says "Aatrox is a legendary warrior, one of only five that remain of an ancient race known as the Darkin." The reason i bring this up is b/c maybe "Sea Hunter" is another Darkin that Garen and Quinn are with that isn't Aatrox; Maybe Justicar is another one aswell?

If you are still here reading i'm just going to bring up alot of skins that I personally** think** progress a champs lore.

  • Black Frost Anivia. Lissandra uses her magic to cast spells that generally are Black Ice. Did Lissandra Corrupt Anivia into joining her? Riot plz, Return of the Watchers Event this winter.

  • Crimson Elite Talon Riven

  • Order of the Lotus Irelia Karma

  • Eternum Nocturne After years imprisoned in the Institute of War, did the summoners materialize Nocturne into flesh?

  • Galactic Azir ,Nasus ,Renekton b/c they're immortal they lived for that long? lol

  • Scorched Earth Renekton "Centuries imprisoned fed a fury in Scorched Earth Renekton that tooth and blade now feast on." The Renekton that Xerath freed.

  • Renegade Talon What he looked like living on the Noxus streets before he was recruited by General Du Couteau.

  • Pre-Void Kassadin

  • Artic Warfare Caitlyn Does Piltover go to war with the Freljord?

  • Lord Darius "Darius works to unite the nation behind his vision of true Noxian strength."

  • Officer Caitlyn and Vi.

I probably left out a lot but, what skins do you guys think represent a champions lore progression?

Only a small number of skins actually represent canon lore, and considering the overhaul of the lore, the most recent event skins for Burning Tides are likely the only ones we can say are 100% canon in some way.

Just about every skin otherwise is a re-imagination of said champion in a different setting and an altered history. The skins I remember as being canon in the lore are as follows:

Aatrox Justicar represents Aatrox as he is viewed by nations he appeared to and turned the tide for. It's a very Demacian interpretation and looks like the stained glass mural of him from his teaser. This one's a bit up in the air but I personally think is still canon, but it's not how Aatrox actually appeared, it's a fictional recreation of Aatrox in the actual canon by a nation. A historic interpretation if you will.

Akali Her nurse skin was worn when she offered her services to help vaccinate people at the IoW. So yeah that's not canon. At all. Once was, not anymore.

Ashe Her Queen skins shows her on her wedding day with Tryndamere. The wedding's still canon, but the dress? Dunno.

Tryndamere Same as for Ashe, shows his wedding day outfit. And as before, wedding's still canon, but the outfit? Dunno.

That's all I can remember at this point. I think maybe Traditional Sejuani is canon too? I don't remember. Maybe someone can clarify for me.

Most skins are just alternative reality type stuff. However their are some examples of "canon skins" like GP and MF's new skins.

Kassadin Pre-Void Kassadin is who he was before going to Icathia

Talon Renegade Talon is before he accepted General Du Couteau's offer

Viktor Proto-type Viktor was him at the beginning of his trans-humanist journey

This GP skin is the first one that has any ties to lore at all.

The others are just for fun, or completely silly. There are some others that are themed around events, like Shurima skins, but that isn't to say they are actually involving the event as far as Kha jumping around like he looks in the skin. It is just a neat skin idea.

Captain Misfortunate would be the second, though only technically, as her lore was pretty much always a pirate hunter even before this skin or event.

The other pirate and ship themed skins are not directly connected to the lore, such as Garen's new skin, just more so neat skins revolving around the event.

Some skins ARE tied to events (not like the Bilgewater event, but as in events in the history of that game....that granted may or may not even have ever happened with the awkward retcon) in some ways, like Kassadin pre void or the pre corrupted Varus skin, but they were sort of just "neat skin ideas" after the fact, more than reasons to tie those skins to lore events at the time they came out.
