I acutally have to agree a bit. There's definitely some missing pieces.

Where's his spiked belt buckle? Or his sash that went from his solider armor to his waist?

Why remove those model details?

eh, I mean it looks much better than the original of course, they just didn't change much of his outward appearance. To me it's like comparing the artwork of Luffy in the first episode to where he is now. Like what im trying to say is, that's how kassadin would look if they had the technology that they do today, it's not much of an actual change rather than a touch up.

Well yeah. It was much closer to a texture update than a visual update. I don't think the intent was to change his appeal as it was with Karthus (who I bought when they VU'd him cuz it was awesome)

Difference is, Kassadin got a model update; Karthus got a Visual Update.

I'm just glad he kept his neat ground particles.

I think it's an improvement for sure, and really, I'm grateful we're getting a VU at all. To my knowledge, we're only getting one because someone worked on it in their free time, there wasn't actual time for him to be worked on regularly.

Plus his animations are objectively better, even if you don't like the model itself.

Yeah even though I hoped for more(him running around shirtless clashes with the rest of his outfit),its a nice update regardless and it is better than nothing.

All that happened was they diverted further from Karthus's original design with his remake. He was a generic undead lich that needed to be stylization.

We already knew that Kassadin wasn't going to change as much because they had a more developed theme and direction with him.

Oh yea, Karthus's original model was soooo interesting and cool with 4 animations, walk, auto, Q and ult lol. A skeleton with a robe. What Karthus was and what he is now is soo much better.

I kind of like it... though I expected a bigger change, like, adding legs or lifting him off ground, the whole armor skirt on a dude is a bit weird but more so because he's not quite in the air, he's dashing and his kilt is way too long? weird

Also, his headpiece's details and horn should be white like his shoulder pads blades.

aaaand last but not least I'm not really digging the color of his skin... he looks too Shadow-isle-y, it's the exact same color as kalista without the green-ish glow and as far as I know, Kass is not from the Shadow Isles, he's someone who entered the void and survived, is he undead? I always though he was pretty much alive but infested with void energy (kind of like Sarah Kerrigan when she becomes the queen of blades in starcraft) so I'd expect his skin to look more purplish but also white-ish, as if his blood changed from red to purple (void energy)

Call me fussy and weird, but he seems awfully blue and cold and his abs seem to have lost some definition. Doesn't seem like an (anti) Void champion at all apart from the purple particles.

BTW, Karthus got a VU like Sion and Kassadin got a MTU like Alistar, Maokai and Renekton

Model update=/=Full visual update Model update means updated model with pretty much the same design as the old model.Maybe some new animations & some slight alteration of the original design.Recent Examples: Alistar Maokai . Visual update means a complete redesign of the old design along with a new model,animations & VO. Recent Examples: Tristana Sion .

Wheres Kassadins cod piece spike?? Its a staple of his character! If anything, more of Kassadin should revolve around his cod piece spikes. Simply a missed oppurtunity!
