He looks insanely badass here. Young, lean armor, and fucking clean as fuck. Even though I am straight, this is the fucking epitome of BADASS. I'd f****ng main him all day.

Varus looks the same in game and in the splash.

Xin Zhao is completely different, LMAO.

I choose him thinking that I wil be playing with some badass, skilled young lancer.

Once I get in game, what I encounter is an old man with bulky armor moving in a quirky fashion.

In the splash Varus glows like a Voidl character (similar to Kai'Sa), even his chest belt glows and looks overall different, and his arms and legs don't have glowing veins, and his eyes don't glow white either.

The glowing is because of the light reflecting on him. Of course, some models will look older since Varus is such an old champion. However, the basis of his model aren't so different from the loading screen. Things like the belt glow are usually lack luster in the models anyway. The veins in the legs are barely noticeable. The glow in the eyes is also an emphasis on his character, and often are missing in the models.

Xin Zhao on the other hand clearly has a much bulkier armor in game, and looks like an old man compared to the art. The armor is also grey instead of white, and he looks much older.

I don't know how you can't see the difference. One is very lean, young, and has a much lighter armor, while the other seems to be a middle-aged man using a goliath armor running around like a clown. ????????????????????????

Discussion wasn't about Wu Kong. Discussion was about Xin Zhao. Which if you compare to almost any Dynasty Warriors game, he looks like a knock off of Zhao Yun.

He's more of a knock off of Zhao Yun than J4 is of Lu Bu or Tryndamere is of Guan Yu.

Do you even know where Wu Kong is brought from? It's brought from a novel. Not a game. The novel is actually taught in highschool English.

One could make the argument that Xin Zhao was brought from Zhao Yun of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms novel however most people do not dedicate time to reading such literature. As such, the place Xin Zhao was pulled from is indeed the Dynasty Warriors franchise along with Warring Kingdoms J4 and Tryndamere. Mic dropped.

You're free to make a rough sketch of Xin Zhao with a moustache & Baguette and call him Zhao monsieur, hopefully your concept will be taken in.

Did you really just make this about a race? Did you really just try to make me a racist?

I made a valid point that he is in fact a cheap knock off look of Zhao Yun. There are multiple ways to make someone look like an asian warrior. There were multiple colors, styles, ways of wearing hair, weapons, etc... But this one literally looked at Zhao Yun and did one of those "copy my homework but don't make it look like you did."

Never did I say that he wasn't allowed to have an Asian warrior look so nice job trying to throw words in my mouth. You must be a troll just looking to egg someone on so I guess I bit the bullet on that one. And why the hell did you try and describe some French guy as if I'm wanting him to be French? As if I have some lineage with French people or something. And if you think French because of my summoner name, then I weep for you and your lack of historical knowledge.

His ingame model has exactly the same color scheme with his splash art, of course it can't look 100% the same and this can be said for all the champions in the game

I am of the opposite opinion. Xin Zhao is SUPPOSED TO BE a badass old man. He was at the youngest, a teenager during J2's time. He'd be in his 50's at least by the time J4 was captured in his early 20s.
