Well what we know about Jhin in the new zed comics, i think it would be very very interesting too see what would happen in an interaction between the two. Hypothetically Lets say jhin sets off some traps that causes a disturbance for the green father and a battle ensues do you guys think that jhins pistol/rifle could actually hurt ivern? lmk down below

However, Ivern has an interaction with Jhin that leads me to believe he wouldn't actually kill Jhin. As a result, I feel Jhin would escape if he didn't manage to kill Ivern.

Its a PLANT, even if some random part of his body becomes gold, the rest of it will grow back to his original plant form... That is asuming that the magic of Jhin works on things that are not flesh in first place.

It's not really a plant or gold, its merely an illusion... So the bullets are just regular bullets.
GreenLore1 votesOther people in the comic mentioned how the corpses turned into porcelain, so its not an illusion. Riot confirmed in general that Jhin infuses his bullets with magic, its the reason why his kills explode within the game.

Read the actual comic, please... If you do that you will see that the second (Zed and Kayn) touched his art, it killed the illusion thus reveling it was just a dead body. So again, it's not actual gold or porcelain. It's illusion magic infused in his bullets.
The sounds in game are because of the pop of the gun and from the fact he leaves a trap over the body of anyone he kills.

Though I do think that Jhins abilities are a bit unclear though, I mean the effect was compared to a plant, but that doesn't mean that it is really a plant. And its unclear if his ability is a real illusion or just a really unstable transformation.

Plants don't work like people. You could riddle Ivern with bullets and tear off all his limbs and all that shit will just grow right back.
The matchup is literally a serial killer vs. a GOD... Just think about that for a minute.

When the original green father got cut he didn't actually die either... He saw purpose in passing his will to Ivern as opposed to just killing.
