A Theory on Gangplank's Death

As we all know, the Pirate King was murdered by the notorious Bounty Hunter in the Bilgewater event. There have been questions raised as to whether or not he will be returning. Some think that there may have been a bug with his new kit, I honestly don't know. Either way, no refunds are being handed out, which made me take a closer look. I looked for other theories and found a few funny ones and one possible one that kinda goes along the same line as the one I have.

Looking at his new splash art, I noticed something strange. If you look to the left and bottom of the splash at his right leg, you should notice it as well. You can see THROUGH his leg and see the planks that make of the floor below him. Taking into consideration that he was modeled after Black Beard, it would make sense to make him a ghost, considering how many ghost stories there are about Black Beard.
