Aatrox, and some darkin theories
Since the release of Kayne we've gotten a lot of information about the darkin that wasn't present before hand and even Aatrox's bio was changed to match a similar story line to that of Rhaast. But one thing i'm curious about are the darkin's "form". When looking at Aatrox and at Rhaast its easy note the differences between them while also being able to tell that there of a similar race. But what decides there appearance. Since they were trapped inside there blades and then corrupt a host i began to wonder what controls there appearance when they take over a body. And after thinking about this for a while i came up with three reasonable solutions.
- They can choose how they appear within a certain extent allowing them to choose if they have anything extra beyond the humanoid body
- They have a predetermined form and upon claiming a host they corrupt and distort the body into what they previously appeared as
- They have no control over there appearance and simply create a Darkin-esk body of whatever species attempts to wield there blade
In all honesty number 3 is my favorite theory among the 3 and is backed by Rhaast's keeping a fairly human body, but then we get to Aatrox. With Aatrox getting a new bio i realized something, it never said the person who grabbed his blade was human. So what winged beings do we know little about who are soon going to get a lore rework. That's right the Angels (if kayle and morgana arn't actually called angels i apologize). i remember hearing a while back that Riot wanted to give them some new lore. what if Aatrox's new story lays the forground for the new angel lore. What if Aatrox was picked up by an angel (as stupid as that may be). I guess only time will tell.
