Prestige Edition skins

I understand that Prestige edition skins are cool, but there's now two within about a two month span of even announcing the idea. I think its a great idea but I worry that every event is going to have a "prestige" edition skin, instead of them being a more limited thing. Its going to be nonstop grind for anyone who wants them if its one per event. Maybe 2 a year, maybe would be fine, but more than that it feels like riot is just exploiting the fact that they are "Rare".

I honestly think the creation of Prestige Akali was solely done to cash in on K/DA Akali's massive surge in popularity thanks to the music video and strike while the iron is still hot. They could have given it to Ahri or Eve. They could have given it to one of the Snowdown skin since they're offering Prestige Akali through Snowdown tokens aka through the Snowdown event. So that would have made sense.

I think after this, they're going to wait a while for the next Prestige edition skin.

At the same time everybody who plays the game is an autonomous human being who can decide for themselves how much of their time/income is worth a collections of pixels. Glittery or not

That's fine with me. I don't actually like either of them. The Victorious skins, and the Gold Championship chromas weren't that interesting to me either. It can't just be the "golden" look either because I still like Lunar Guardian Nasus and Warwick.
