Let me ask you. Which one of these skins looks more like 'Safari Caitlyn'? Perhaps the one with the animal in it, but certainly not the one that takes place in what looks to be ruins of a city? What's more is that the upcoming splash sexualizes Caitlyn more (I don't want this to become a Tracer/Blizz thing) and I always liked this skin because it didn't do that compared to Officer Caitlyn. Please don't change this skin splash as it does not embody the idea of 'Safari Caitlyn'.

Animals aren't only found in grassy areas. This is Valoran and she could be tracking one into a set of ruins or hunting one that has ruins for it's lair. Please don't be so narrow minded.

You're correct that the new splash looks ridiculous, but the old splash is not up to the artistic standard/quality of the modern game.

Also Riot already bought this splash art. They paid an artist for his or her time. They aren't showing these to get feedback, they're testing it on the public server to find any bugs before it goes live.

They already bought the old one too. And of the two, I like the old one a lot more. Caitlyn sitting and having a cup of tea after a hunt is interesting and unique.

This skin is already on the Chinese server I believe which means they own both of the arts, and they always want feedback. League is a giant artwork that never ends, they live off of feedback.

I haven't seen any announcements for a new skin other than Mecha Zero Sion, Program Soraka and Program Lissandra. I assume you are referring to a Dr. Mundo splash art. It looks pretty good, actually. A very different art style, but the I like the definition of his muscles. It looks a lot better to me than his current one.

The name of this skin in Chinese server is not "Safari Caitlyn", it's called "Tomb Raider Caitlyn".

Riot's already said they aren't changing their minds on this. However, these changes are short term; the main goal is to streamline the pipeline between regions so that splash art changes aren't a huge nightmare like they are now. While a lot of the Chinese splashes are not good/terrible, they're stop-gap measures.

They aren't changing their minds on ANY of the splash changes. They said the same thing the last time they did a large global update of splashes. They are changing them all around so that they are the same art piece for every region instead of having multiple, as splashes are something that is what first depicts a character when people see them. So they want them all to have the same feel in every client.

Well only that one for the time being since there was a much bigger uproar over it, but pretty sure they rest they are content with keeping. Either way though, she'll get a brand new splash in the future that everyone will live with no matter what.

I doubt that this would turn into another Tarcer-incident. I mean not only is fanservice nothing new in LoL,but caitlyn is one of the more sexualized characters already.

Her Officer skin is very sexualized, her old Safari skin is not.

The thing is that even her regular skin is sexy and while Safaris splash art looks rather tame,its still rather sexy with the hot pants,cleavage and exposed belly.

So while these aren't as sexualized as officer caitlyn,they are still far from tame.

She is a cop wearing a frilly one-piece dress that shows lots of cleavage and should give pantyshots whenever she moves a bit.

And aside from that she only wears gloves,boots,a collar,a hat and lots of belts.

She might not be a miss fortune,but she does provide a lot of fanservice.

I'll give you that. I've literally never looked at Caitlyn and thought "Wow, that's a bit much", but I'm not really the type of person to notice that normally.

Just logged in after a hiatus, and I find this godawful splash for my favorite skin. The old splash may allegedly not have been up to the modern "artistic standard", but the absolute minimum artistic standard should be that the art resemble the character it depicts. The old art looked like Caitlyn. The new art looks like Miss Fortune with a rifle. Seriously. The light-colored loose hair, the curves, the floppy hat... did the artist even see the Safari Caitlyn model? Exercize some big-picture judgment, Riot. Don't just pick the art with the finer brushwork.
